Ronnie James Dio is one of the best rock singers of all time with a career more than 30 years he has played with some of the best musicians and some of the most emblematic bands of the golden era of hard rock.
was in 1975 that Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, decided to secede and form an own band. Already been set in a band called ELF and very in style proposed that they were his backing band provided that fired their guitarist, which is not accepted, but Blackmore convinced the singer to go with ... forming the legendary band Rainbow. It was so like Ronnie James Dio became known for her powerful voice that belied his small stature and his incredible showmanship on stage.
After several albums released and then pick up the majority of fans were of the Purple, Dio has been offered to replace Tony Iommy Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, which was a supreme risk to the public and identified his voice with Rainbow and it was almost a sacrilege to replace Ozzy, however the explosive formula is returned as incredible as the original lineup of Sabbath, adding to the catalog classic albums as Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules
in full eighties already formed his own band called simply DIO, where he shared with the likes of Vinnie Appice and Vivian Campbell, with a proposal very heaviest of those years while retaining the power and style that have characterized. His career has gone ahead smoothly, has included some laps Sabbath his last album Killing The Dragon does not disappoint and his voice is like the best of times.
This anthology includes the story on 2 CDs, the first contains topics ELF (great band for that matter), Rainbow and several of Black Sabbath (it was not with so many incredible tracks recorded with them). The second CD covers the topics that Dio recorded with his own band ... to blow the head with Holy Diver We Rock, Do not Talk To Strangers and other great classics that every good rock lover should have in your collection.
I always thought that I should do a Three Tenors of Rock ... with Dio, Dickinson and Halford ... how would that be?
